Michael grew up in the business.  At the ripe old age of 10 he was already assisting with the planting and watering of crops.  After high school Michael attended the University of Connecticut and received a degree in Horticulture.  Upon graduation he took a more active role in the family business.  In 2007 Michael became sole owner of Michael's Greenhouses.

Michael lives on the farm with his wife Aili and his two sons Michael and Nicolas.

Linda came to work in the office at Michael's Greenhouses in 1995.  Linda is in charge of payroll, accounting, billing, taking customer's orders etc.  Linda is always willing to answer any questions that customers may have.

Martha came to work at Michael's Greenhouses in 2007.  Martha is also in charge of the Michael's day to day administrative tasks such as billing, answering the phones, taking customers orders and trying to answer any questions that customers may have.

Pat joined Michael's Greenhouses in the spring of 2009.  Pat has been in the Supermarket Industry for the past 36 years, and brings with her a diverse knowledge of plants from a buyers perspective.  We welcome Pat's vast knowledge of plants and she certainly has a pulse on the trends and where the market is heading.

Roger was born and educated in Northern Ireland and earned a Bachelor of Horticultural Science Degree at Reading University, England in 1970.

After 2 years of practical experience in Northern Ireland, West Germany and the USA he worked in large house plant company in Spalding, England.  Following their decision to close he emigrated to America in 1987.  After employment in Pennsylvania and Michigan he settled in Connecticut and has been with Michael's Greenhouses for 6 years.  Overall Roger has 34 years growing experience!

Roger's focus at Michael's Greenhouses has been to produce crops with a healthy white root system to meet timely market demands.

This year Roger has started using Biological Control Agents (BCA's) with the goal of eliminating chemical pesticides.  This practice allows Michael's Greenhouse customers to receive the "greenest" possible crop available.

Roger is currently a writer for "Grower talks" Magazine, contributing three articles annually.  A link to the articles he has written can be found on the Staff Articles page (link above).

Ron has been with Michael's since 2007.  Ron is our Operations Manager and has a long family history in the industry.  His background includes diverse experience in many different areas of production and construction. 

Ron has incorporated the concepts of lean manufacturing and efficiencies into his philosophy of operations, allowing Michael's Greenhouses (and our customers) to enjoy growth and success.  He excels in the facilitation of "problem solving" within the Michael's team and in the development of new concepts.  Outside of work, Ron enjoys fishing, camping and cooking.
