We currently have 5 acres of greenhouse growing space and 15 acres of outdoor growing space. Our growing space is continually occupied with vibrant and colorful annuals and perennials. All of our products are delivered on our own trucks directly to your store's door. We ship on rolling carts, and all of our trucks are equipped with lift gates to make shipping quick and easy.

We encourage you to let us know if we aren't living up to our goal of treating our customers as we would our family. We aren't perfect, but our goal is to try to be better every day!

     Michael's Greenhouses has been in business over 40 years and for the past 25 years, Michael has been actively involved in the business, and continues his family's tradition of "good customer service is good business".

      Started in 1969, the greenhouse has undergone many changes over the course of its long history. Advances in technology and the field of horticulture have allowed us to grow bigger, brighter, hardier plants. With automated production lines, computerized watering booms, and greenhouses that open and close by themselves in anticipation of the weather, we are allowed the freedom to spend our time devising ways to ensure that the quality of the product leaving our doors and arriving on our customers doorsteps is second to none.

     We believe that the team of people we have working for us today is the best we have ever assembled. The office staff, sales team, production line, growers, and shipping department are all focused on the same objective. Our vision is to produce brighter, greener, healthier plants, grown locally by a dedicated staff who care about their customers, their fellow employees, and the environment. We have taken several dramatic steps this year to help us move in this direction.

Greener and Cleaner

The use of Biological Control Agents (BCA's) was introduced to Michael's Greenhouses to eliminate pests that normally threaten greenhouse crops. These "good bugs" target detrimental pests and have allowed us to eliminate the use of pesticides and grow our plants greener and cleaner. We at Michaels Greenhouses feel it is our corporate responsibility to reduce the amount of chemicals used in the production of our products, thereby helping to diminish the hazards caused by these chemicals to people, property, and the environment.

We have also joined with East Jordan Plastics to start recycling the plastic pots and trays used on the farm. The amount of plastic a working greenhouses uses in a year is astonishing. Previously this plastic would have ended up in a landfill somewhere. Recycling our plastic drastically reduces the carbon footprint of the farm.
